BAQC ESEA
MINI EXHIBITION

About the Exhibition
Too often in exhibitions that celebrate LGBTQ+ history, we don't see many or any representation of those who are queer and of East and Southeast Asian heritage. This mini exhibition seeks to provide this missing narrative.

Tone of the exhibition:
We are proud to be a grassroot organisation so the tone of the event will be kept casual, cheerful and celebratory.

What we will be displaying:

In our research, we were unable to find much historic queer ESEA material in existing archives. However, we will present anything we find in recent history. If you have any stories, lived experiences, any relevant newspaper / magazine articles, please share with us.

In celebration of our present day LGBTQ+ ESEA activists and artists, we will also display their work. After all, we are all history in the making.

Everything on display and all participants will be shown on our website, promoted on our Instagram page and championed on Hey Queer Asians.

"Fireside" chats:
We will set up a corner where anyone is welcome to sit down with us to talk and share stories.

If you have any questions, please contact us.

If you are interested in collaborating, want to share your story, or have general questions and feedback. Do not hesitate to get in touch.
